If you are looking for a dentist in Exeter and are struggling to find a dental practice in the heart of the city offering Saturday and Sunday appointments the family-owned Exeter Dental Centre is the place to go.

This private practice which isa member of the British Practice Dental Association Good Practice Scheme is open seven days a week and dental staff here go that extra mile when helping nervous patients by using gentle dentistry techniques and by taking more time for those with dental phobia by talking to them about their concerns.

Family

The family orientated team are proud to treat several generations within the same family and take the time to get to know all of their patients, even the younger children by teaching them to look after their teeth and gums so they have a healthy white everlasting smile.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Using the latest state-of-the-art equipment Cosmetic dental treatments at The Exeter Dental Centre include teeth whitening, dental veneers, white fillings, invisible braces and dental crowns. Even a relatively minor treatment such as replacing old filings with white fillings can make quite a difference to your smile as many people don’t like the look of silver metal in their mouth.

Teeth Whitening

Everyone dreams of having the perfect white smile but as we get older our teeth become stained from tea, coffee, red wine and smoking, alongside calculus’ or tartar, which affect our tooth colour. You can get teeth whitening treatments at the Exeter Dental Centre which include:

Zoom! Insurgery whitening

Zoom Advanced Power, is an in-surgery procedure. Your teeth will be whitened by up to 10 shades in only 60 minutes, allowing you to enjoy a Hollywood smile with confidence.

This technique will give professionally lighter teeth in about an hour and a half. A gel is applied to the teeth by your dentist and a powerful LED light is then used to activate and help accelerate the effectiveness of the gel.

At home whitening

This method is for people who want to whiten their own teeth in their own time. Trays are made up to fit your teeth. When you visit the dentist you will be shown how to insert the trays which are usually worn overnight for 10 days on average. Trays can be made ready for you to take home.

At home whitening top ups

The whitening is said to last around 2-3 years depending on your eating and drinking habits. The more you smoke or have tea, coffee and red wine or highly coloured food and drink such as cranberry juice and blackberry juice, the more staining you build up.

If you wish to maintain the colour of the rest of your teeth after the crowns and bridge are placed, you will need to top up the whitening – the current recommendation is to top up by purchasing additional top-up gel and using your home whitening trays for one week every year.

Can I afford to go private?

This practice offers a payment plan called Denplan, the UK’s leading dental plan is a monthly plan and the amount you pay depends on the amount of treatment you require. This will be decided by your dentist.
