4. Sacroiliac Joint Pain

The joints that transfer the weight of the upper body on to the hipbone that further transfers that weight on to the legs is called the sacroiliac joint and they are extremely powerful ligaments. However severe trauma like a car accident or the passing of time can cause those ligaments to be torn and the joint will no longer work properly. Because the ligaments now allow too much movement nerves and muscles are pulled and pushed beyond their normal position and that will cause pain.

5. Referred Pain

Lastly, the most ironic thing about the human body is that issues in one place can cause pain in a completely different place and that is generally called referred pain. In the case of lower back pain anything from bad posture to prostate cancer and an abdominal disease can cause pain to be felt in the lower back. That is why many women during their menstrual cycle or people with kidney stones will report lower back pain although there is nothing wrong with that part of their body.
