Cut Out Alcohol from Your Diet
The first thing you have to do is cut out alcohol from your diet including wine. Alcohol contains a lot of calories and can leave your stomach bloated. In fact, a few glasses of wine can have just as many calories as a big piece of cake. A moderate amount of alcohol would be one drink per day for women and two for men.  While drinking in moderation is associated with some health benefits, after a week of not drinking any alcohol, will leave you feeling a lot less bloated.

Limit Your Sodium Intake
Sodium is another thing you have to cut out of your diet. Foods that contain a lot of salt, such as chips and pizza, can make you retain a lot of water, making you look very bloated. These foods can make you so bloated that you will have difficulty buttoning up your pants. Instead of eating foods that are very salty, eat healthy foods like nuts, fish, fruits and vegetables. These healthy foods will help you look and feel better.

Do Cardiovascular Exercises
Doing cardiovascular exercises is one of the best ways to get rid of extra tummy bulge. These exercises burn a lot of calories and help speed up your metabolism. For example, you can jog around your neighborhood or swim laps in your neighborhood pool. You can also take an aerobics or dance class at your local health club. To prevent getting bored, ask a friend or family member to work out with you.

Eat Fewer Calories
Losing a few pounds will help you get rid of some of that fat around your waist. To lose weight, you will have to eat fewer calories every day. For example, if you want to lose a pound a week, you will have to cut 500 calories from your diet every day. There are many easy ways you can cut calories out of your diet. For instance, instead of drinking soda, drink water.  Don’t be fooled into thinking that skipping meals will do the trick.  In fact, when you skip a meal, you tend to eat more during your next meal.  While this does prevent some weight loss, it will actually lead to weight gain because you end up eating more calories by the end of the day.

Having a wine waist may be embarrassing, but you do not have to deal with it forever. If you follow these helpful tips, your stomach will look flatter in no time.
