Staying fit and healthy is important for all of us, but especially so if you are pregnant as well. We all need to eat a healthy and balanced nutritious diet as well as get plenty of regular exercise in order for us to not only look good but feel good as well. Walking is a very good form of exercise which you can do throughout your pregnancy and if you have a dog it is also good for them as well, meaning you both get to exercise. Another form of exercise which you can do throughout the duration of your pregnancy is swimming. This is a very good form of exercise as it works all of the core muscle groups and is low impact whilst also give you a cardio workout as well. After you have given birth you can also take your child to swimming classes as new born babies have an automatic swimming reflex though to come from spending time in their mother’s womb.

Before you do make any major changes to either your exercise regime or your diet, you will need to consult your doctor beforehand and get a clean bill of health. They will also be able to give you more recommendations as regards your diet and other forms of exercise which may be good for you such as Yoga or Pilates. Once you get your clean bill of health and have some suitable cheap maternity clothes which will be suitable for exercising, you are ready to make a change in your life for both you and your expectant child.
Make sure that you do not push yourself too hard and always drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. Take plenty of rests as well and if you feel any discomfort or strangeness at all, consult a doctor immediately. You are going to be able to bring your child into a world where they are well looked after, eat healthily and have plenty of exercise, which will mean they will be as fit as a butchers dog for years to come and pick up some very good habits which they will take with them to adulthood.
