1.     Moisture Balance

Maintaining the right moisture balance is one of the best ways to ensure your skin looks great. Too much oil and your skin will look like a Chinese takeaways, too little and you’ll feel dry, patchy and tight. Good old moisturizer is the key here, but selecting the right one is important. If you have oily skin, go for a lightweight or even ‘weightless’ moisturizer, and apply sparingly, for those with dryer skin find one that will keep your face feeling lush all day.  Modern moisturisers also contain all types of great anti-aging molecules such as coenzyme q10.

2.     Small Pores

Large pores can be unsightly and are a very quick way to make otherwise healthy skin look aged. Skin with fine pores has an all over better appearance, giving the skin a smoother and more porcelain finish. Luckily large pores are easily combatted. Firstly, a good cleanser will ensure that pores are always clean and free of grime, the leading cause of blocked pores and blackheads. Again salicylic acid as well as Benzoyl peroxide and alpha hydroxyl acid can keep pimples at bay. If you do get a pimple, only squeeze it as an absolute last resort and use the utmost of care. Any squeezing of the skin causes damages to the underlying cells and will always leave redness, blemishes and scars.

Redness has many causes and thus many solutions. Always ensure you have a skin regime that doesn’t irritate your skin and if you suffer redness, avoid drying or harsh cleansers. Any type of anti-inflammatory moisturizing topical ingredients like ceramides, cholesterol, glycerin, and stearic acid will work wonders. A good toner will also help even out skin tone, reducing the appearance of redness.

5.     Fight Wrinkles and Fine Lines

Wrinkles and fine lines  unfortunately come hand in hand with age, however a few tips can keep them minimized.
